The best laptop deals this May

1. M1 Apple MacBook Pro (was £1,499, now £1,439)

Last year's MacBook Pro is a powerful machine that incorporated the new Apple M1 chip to staggering effect. The model on offer here has 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal SSD storage – which is more than enough for regular users – plus a 13in retina display and a new-and-improved battery. It has been cheaper, but this is still an excellent price on a gorgeous laptop.

2. Microsoft Surface Pro 8 (was £902, now £649)

The slender Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is the king of Windows 2-in-1 laptops. It's slim, it's powerful, it has a gorgeous display and it's beautifully built. It's only weakness is that it's usually pretty expensive; not now, though. At this discounted price it's an absolute steal.
